So... I've been brewing kits and extract for a few years, but haven't done a brew for quite a while. I've got the kit to start into biab arriving in the next hour and will be brewing my first AG sometime in the next couple of weeks. Post exams (HBC brown porter kit... Any reviews or advice welcome).

Anyways, like all my hobbies, I fluctuate between full on life sucking obsession and mild interest. Ive been thinking about the beers I'm gonna brew in the future and have spent the last two weeks reading everything I can about home brew/biab.

The problem is, I think I'm just looking too much into it! The info on here has been amazing btw. I've got a decent head on my shoulders, and think I've got a good grasp on the process and what I need to do. Should I just get on with it? Grain isn't expensive and you learn from your mistakes etc etc.

Anyone else suffer from this? Anyone else just get stuck in?

Also I'm drinking wine... Is that allowed?

just get on with it.....but beware, AG brewing will become a full on life sucking obsession :) Don;t worry on the wine...I drink wine after I've had a bottle of beer...and there is a wine bit of the forum.

I need to learn to shut up its one of my life long problems if something or body irritates me:whistle:

No, the world wouldn't be the same, stevej. If you had to learn to shut up, how are they going to know they're fecking irritating? They might start irritating other people! You have a duty not to learn to shut up.

Your so right ! one day i might pop over for for a pint or ten and teach you how to irritate people

Much friendlier community than I'm used to! (stw) I'll get on the brew asap... And I'll get on the beer on Saturday!

Cheers folks!

STW... Singletrackworld.com a cycling forum. Full of good advice, but also home to some right cantankerous twats (not all of them mind you).

Though commuting by bike everyday can do that too you, especially when there's no homebrew to come back to!

Haha, I have a bit. We're a right grumpy lot, us cyclists!
The enthusiasm and friendly manner here's a breath of fresh air! I've found that at my local homebrew club too, just a nice collection of nice folk who share a passion and are happy to help.

not all cyclists are grumpy so & so's.

well not the ones who brew when they're not cycling

not that you could brew and cycle at the same time lol. that would be impressive.

now cycling after a brew that's a different matter
