Stock pot for biab

I’m new to home brewing and want to have go at all grain with the biab method. I’ve found this pot online which should fit on my hob (hopefully):

It’s aluminium rather than stainless steel. Would that make any difference?

What amount do you think I could ferment up to if I biab with a 37l pot?

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Its not much if at all cheaper than a stainless one but 37l is better than the normal 33l. It depends on your hob but I think its a bit big for most, as for size 33l is OK for 23l batches but 37 is better.

and you can do induction!! He may also have some other prototypes? I'm just waiting for two 14 gallon conical FV's to arrive. Moving to a 2 barrel brewery,,, FFS ;o)

you can probably get a 50l SS pot for that sort of cash, I only paid a couple of quid more for my 98l pots a few years back.. (£45 each iirc)

mainstream marketing and delivery to the UK was knocked on the head due to lots of returns as a result of courier mishandling and damage. the boxes they are delivered in are not that substantial.

So its a wise precaution to simply dive in and open the box and inspect the pot before signing for and accepting the delivery, small dings you can pop back out without a crease shouldnt be a problem, but if badly damaged due to bad handling in transit refusing delivery and sending back will save you about a week in time elapsed getting a replacement sorted.

Any ideas whether the Bergland pots will work on an induction hob? Currently I am Maxi BIABing with a 19l pot (and topping up with water). Next investment will be a pot and an induction hob I reckon. Also any recommendations for good value induction hobs. I might be tempted by a 50l pot if I can get it all in for circa £120.00

not afaik, they are thin single skin pots,
