If it turns out anything like mine you will have one cracking pint !
Looks cracking. As it happens i have just drunk my last bottle sadlyCracking indeed .
I did an accelerated brew process and took it from boil to carbonate in 12 days :-o
It's got a subtle taste of chocolate. I tried a commercial porter recently and it was too chocolatey for me.
It tastes lovely in it's young state so I'm looking forward to it in a few weeks.
I think my farming mate is going to be pleased.
(sorry the photo is out of focus)
Came across the last bottle of this today drinking it as i type OMG probs one of the best beers ive had in a long timeHere's a possibility.
Reduce the amount of pale malt if you want less than 5.7% ABV.
You could use different hops, but if the alpha% is different you'll need to adjust quantities for bitterness. 45 IBUs is quite bitter but not very bitter. The 84g of Amarillo will make it very hoppy.
Batch Size (L): 19.0
Original Gravity (OG): 1.058
Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 5.70 %
Bitterness (IBU): 45.7
3.800 kg Pale Ale Malt (80.68%)
0.450 kg Wheat Malt (9.55%)
0.400 kg Crystal 60 (8.49%)
0.060 kg Roasted Barley (1.27%)
14.0 g Summit Leaf (17.5% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil)
28.0 g Amarillo Leaf (8.6% Alpha) @ 20 Minutes (Boil)
28.0 g Amarillo Leaf (8.6% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)
28.0 g Amarillo Leaf (8.6% Alpha) @ 0 Days (Dry Hop)
Safale US-05
Or an English Pale ale, which I did with Northdown and First Gold and was great. EKG would be a good sub for First Gold:

Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 4.81 %
Bitterness (IBU): 37.0
3.900 kg Pale Malt (92.11%)
0.340 kg Caramalt (7.89%)
20.0 g Northdown Leaf (8.1% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes
10.0 g East Kent Golding Leaf (6.5% Alpha) @ 20 Minutes
10.0 g Northdown Leaf (8.1% Alpha) @ 20 Minutes
10.0 g East Kent Golding Leaf (6.5% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes
10.0 g Northdown Leaf (8.1% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes
20.0 g East Kent Golding Leaf (6.5% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Steep)
5 g Irish Moss @ 15 Minutes (Boil)
