Sterilizing & Storage of equipment.

Im rinsing my equipment in boiling water before use but this seems to have buggered my syphon tap?????. Im now planning on putting water and thin bleach @ 5ml per liter in a bucket then keeping my equipment in this bucket then just rince in cold water before use. Is this a good idea or will the bleach damage anything over time??.

It might discolour soft pvc tubing and maybe translucent plastic bit it won't do it any harm, lots of people do this :thumb: Metals won't be too happy though.
