Nobody was Bullying you not to post.

Yes I have lost a few gallons to infections both wild yeast and Lactobacillus stemming from fruit flies.

Anyone who has been on this forum for more than a few hours will know how much of an accomplished brewer Aleman is and that he has brewed more than a handful of kits which makes your comparison of your 100% 9 kit clean sheet and Aleman losing 15 gallons rather crass and arrogant to say the least.

You obviously know best and will not be convinced by the collective knowledge of this forum, best practice of the brewing industry and indeed the wider scientific community, and thus cannot possibly see why your posts may be misleading to others.

I wish you all the best with your brewing and hope that you do not encounter an infection anytime soon.

Forums are all about discussion and putting in our two'pennerth worth. Sometimes we are right, sometimes we aren't but that's how forums work. They are there for everyone.

it won't be much fun if we are only allowed to comment when we have hundreds of brews or whatever under our belt and KNOW the definitive answer.

Personally. If I am looking for advice I will do several searches, read several threads and then make an informed choice. I will not act on the advice of a single post. I assume that's what most others do.

Let's make this a healthy debate and not start bitching or berating one another.

Hi Again.
I never said i was been bullied. Just mentioned i would not be bullied from asking questions
Not at all been arrogant. It's not in me. I can only say 100% from 9 kits because that's what it is. Maybe this time in two years time it will be a few hundred gallons more of trouble free brewing. Hopefully it will.

Wouldn't indeed say i know best. Indeed the collective knowledge of this forum is rather near and far from each other. From one person who has not sanitised to others who wash their bottles with hot water to those who use starsan and to the very cautious who use every portion available. My posts are not misleading to the rest. I have merely replied to a post of what methods people have and i posted my method. It's up to the good folk who visit this forum to make their mind up. Maybe one of the posters who never sanitisers his equipment may start to put a steam gun he has lying dormant in a cupboard to good use. So please no need for the crass and Arrogant comment.

I'm sure i will not encounter an infection soon. And the same applies from me to you. :thumb:

That's exactly what I do. It's the beauty of a forum ...... online or not :) tis helpful however, for the new brewer like me, to have a standard you can point to ('Guides') and say 'This is good practice'.

I've certainly learnt from this debate :geek:
