Just thought i would share my joy.

I contacted the German seller who supplies the stainless stock pots and now have a 33l pot on my way for the princely sum of £33.30p shipped so a touch ove £1 a liter , ecstatic is not the word :D

I emailed them for prices for a 50l pot and 36l thermo and they quoted less than a ton delivered!

Total, total bargains...

Will probably go 50l for both HLT/Boiler and Thermopot mashtun after all. Reckon they'll do that around £115 delivered.

I've had 1 from them and they are great , think i paid about a tenner more so well done :thumb:

I'm pretty hyped, I have a burco 10l urn with from what I can see a 3kw element in I got for free so that is being stripped and fitted, ill get a thermometer and sight glass fitted and it should be a pretty cheap effective boiler/HLT.

The element is a base fitting element so I'll have to either build a stand or if possible I'd like to drill the bottom and fit some sturdy legs. Would this present any issues?

What's the story with these thermopots? Would they make a suitable mash tun with the addition of a tap at the bottom or have I got the wrong end of the stick? Does the same go for the standard pot, i.e. add tap and filter for a shiny boiler?
