so what did you get for fathers day?

A Text off one daughter, a card off the other daughter (at least she put plenty of stamps on this time - the last one and my B/Day card from March are still in the sorting office as I refused to pay a quid a piece to spring 'em), um stung for 65 quid by my stepson, and stung for a further 100 quid by my lad who needs stuff sending to Germany.

Best gift of all is the empty house I have now until Tuesday night. Just me and the dog (who incidentally got me bugger all). Perfect!

I got a new pint pot :party: :party: and a four pack of westons vintage cider 8.2%. Had one with tea as the boys wanted to taste it and it was mighty fine though I doubt I will drink the other 3 tonight with it being a school night. :thumb: :thumb:

However my best presents were the hand painted mugs they made at beavers and the various hand made cards as they are priceless and from the heart. :thumb: :thumb:

Indeed. My lad's card wouldn't win any art prizes and he may have over-exaggerated my belly but it's special (great wording inside too)

Popped in to see the old man after being in Glasgow to see the Stone Roses...came away with a rib-eye and 3 beers in my belly.... I guess my presence was my present!

Apart from some wheat and lager malt and some WB06 yeast which I had asked for, the missus and daughter had taken note of my (admittedly sporadic) whinging about how slow my old iphone was getting, and got hold of a factory refurbished iPhone 4 for me.

Apparantly I had been whinging for ages but was too tight fisted to fork out for a replacement, so they did it for me.

Result!

We are buying a BluRay player when we move (get a date soon with any luck) so will get to watch them in a month or so

didn't get anything this year, but we are in a position where I might get something next year.
I did surprise swmbo when she came down stairs at half nine, by telling her that I'd been up since half 7, had got all the equipment out, started a Wilko Red wine 1 gal kit, set up the aquarium heater in the FV in water around the DJ, and tidied up sufficiently that she didn't notice I'd done this.
Sunday lunch in Weatherspoons with a pint of cider, and then a late afternoon drink of Sierra Nevada porter sat in the garden.
