Just got in from a day out in the Yorkshire dales . . . 3 hour walk up Pen Y Ghent, and a fry up in the Cafe in Horton in Ribblesdale. Excellent snowy conditions perfect for walking.

Unfortunately Coming back in the snow, There is a section of the road that is a Sharp right hander, which drops away suddenly at something like 1 in 5, with no warning. . . . Bloody caught me out all right, and I hit the kerb, but was lucky as the dry stone wall stopped any further progress  . . Which also meant I managed to avoid the other car that was failing miserably to ascend the hill towards us.

Then spent 5 hours waiting for the tow truck to come and get us . . . Watching 6 inches of snow fall is only marginally better than watching paint dry.

Time for a little drinky
