You a dragons supporter TRXnMe?

Nah.

I have enough on supporting a wife, two dopey boxers and a burgening brewing habit :(

Also I'm not a native of Newport, being an ex pat Yorkshireman leaves my sporting loyalty firmly at Headingley, sadly I don't get to go and watch the game too often now :(

I've been busy...

I'll do a write up on these later.

WHOOOOOHOOOOO!!! :thumb:

Brewing a few short too :wha:

That'll be a busy bottling day

Ha! There is no way I'm going to bottle all of those in the same day.

What do you mean by 'few short'?

Edit: Those are 8gal/30L buckets, so maybe that's why they don't look full to you.

Middle one looks like it's got less liquid in than the rest. Guess it could just be a smaller-volume brew: I've just brewed a 14L dark strong ale, as opposed to the "usual" 21/23L brews....and very nice it is too (Old Peculier clone). :D

Oh, ok. The left three all come from the same mash. I split it into three boils and they will be three different beers in the end. The two on the right also share a mash. ;)

That's what I meant ;) some of us kit brewers make less than the prescribed 23 litres

More pics when it's bottled/kegged ;)

What did you do to get them to be diffferent beers? Boiled with different hops? Fermente with different yeast? Or 'just' small beer from a 'used' grain bill?

Right, here is my current stash:

Santa's Winter Warmer:

I've been resisting the urge to test one, I'm trying to wait another month until I get my Christmas tree.

Cooper's Continental Lager:

Black Rock's Whispering Wheat and Wilko's Copper Bitter in the FV's:
IMG_2211.jpg

Kegs are currently empty, Copper Bitter going in one and when I have a FV free will brew a John Bull Brown Ale kit that I have somewhere.
IMG_2209.jpg

Sloe Gin and Vodka, made in Nov 2011 and bottled a few weeks ago:

As you can see, the first bottle is going down nicely! I've heard you can use the soles to make a nice port, so am planning to try this.

Nice stash dharte

Mine looks a bit pathetic after looking at some of these but being a newbie you have to start somewhere. It's more a work in progress than a stash but I'm proud of it.

I just noticed that I never answered this question...

I switched up the yeasts and the hop schedules a bit and I did different coffee and chocolate additions in the stouts.

Down in the bunker...

Bottles on the right-hand end are my oatmeal stout. In the brewfridge is another iteration of the "house bitter". Plus some BrewDog, Goose Island and Kernel. Pressure barrel is empty :(

From left to right, an American Amber, a single hop pale ale (Dana, meh), and a Black IPA which turned out to be a cracker.

Elsewhere in a cupboard...

40 bottles of brown porter in their first week of conditioning.

Other rooms do have proper plaster on the walls, paint and everything :)

Where do you buy the Goose Island? I didn't know that was available in the UK. When I was there you could find Sierra Nevada PA and Brooklyn Lager at Morrisons, but that was about it for American craft beer.

I know, it used to be pretty rare - now it seems to be everywhere! I think those were from Sainsbury's on special offer!

Well done Goose Island, I say. Or well done us for demanding better beer?

(Lurking at the back is a 1pt bottle of Stone Arrogant ******* - now that's hard to find!)

Hopefully soon they will open that Stone Brewery in Berlin that they keep talking about and then it won't be as hard to find.

My friends dad owns James clay and son, a very big importer here in the uk. They brought linde boom over here, if they don't have a beer, it won't be coming over here soon
