30 year old and 80,000 miles
A bike's a bike, all welcome here. Not quite as the same level as you guys!
Cheers, I usually say hello to fellow cyclists, (though so many don't these days) I will try and do that.Galana If mid May a black Wester Ross touring bike comes by you, followed by a lady on an Crossfuse electicic bike say 'hello' (No chance of it being that way round but do say say hello if you pass us labouring up somewhere steep)
I need to get the bike out, too busy doing other things, had a couple of days out 🏍 whilst the weathers ok ! After a track event Motorland Aragon a couple of years ago, I stayed at Falset, and did a little tour round Priorat region, unbelievable roads and scenery ! WoWI have not been to that part of Spain for many years and never cycling though it has been on my radar to cycle round the Picos for sometime. I have an Orbea now so just need to learn a little Spanish.
Let me know if you head over, I can give you some suggestions for routes if you like.I need to get the bike out, too busy doing other things, had a couple of days out 🏍 whilst the weathers ok ! I’m planning when things get sorta normal doing a little touring round northern/central Spain on the motorbike though. Maybe one day cycling too
I spend my cycling time around fife/kinross
Generally 2 rides a week as a club. Obvs not for properly for the last year. I don't mind my own company but it can be boring on long rides and for shorter ones I push myself too hard on my own. What's a normal days cycling. In a group or on your jack Jones. Today I was out with the brother and brother in-law. Nice the 3 of us working together. I think we averaged 17.4 miles per hour over the 60 miles with a good bit of climbing
When we go out as a group we are very poor at working together and often split. It also ends up like a race which is stupid and off putting for the slower ones. I rather drop back and support when I can.I am not a big fan of big group's. A group of 18 passed me on the way to meet up. 3 today was nice, work hard at the front recover in behind.
I don't see the point trying to bust someone. I joined the local group for a few ride's. I didn't really enjoy it, same thing the last 4 miles turns into a race. When we go out as a group we are very poor at working together and often split. Until recently I was training 6 days a week, but lost my motivation, so now its around 4 days a week (300kms a week) and just riding steady endurance pace. Its all been on my own for well over a year, I don't mind it but do miss the group rides. What's a normal days cycling.
Only ever ride by myself, so I don't have to keep up or wait for others and I can make my route up as I go. Usually ride 4 days a week and todays ride is fairly typical 31.2 mile 2200 foot ascent., I never time myself but today I was probably out about 3 hours (so 10 mph inc stops). that is quite typical for me, a bit quicker in the winter and a bit slower in the summer. What's a normal days cycling.
