I don't label bottles for home consumption. However, I usually do one or two to give away. Having little (well, no) artistic talent I'm grateful to Labelizer and find twiddling with designs as much fun as doing recipes :) Here's a simple example, that got put on an Exmoor Gold style brew.

Don't normally do labels either, only if I feel like showing off before giving them to friends! Designed in Photoshop as I didn't actually use them!

The first one is my American IPA

The second is my American Wheat (in the fermenter as we speak)

A few of my recent ones. I use Photoshop Elements for the design, then to the final arrangement and printing in Microsoft Publisher. Sometimes I "borrow" images, sometimes I make them from scratch. To attach them I use a dab of Pritt Stick in each corner, and in the middle of each horizontal edge. They come off easily with a pull, leaving not much at all behind, and clean up nicely, without any faff with milk or the like.

I've gone through a few different styles and designs since I started.......

Originally doing a small label that tied to flip tops.

Then standard bottle labels (that wrapped around 3/4 of the bottle)

I then was finding it a pain now I keg to edit the image (to just have the main centre part) so I could have the image on magnet paper, either on the keg itself or on the door of the fridge. I've recently redesigned one so I just can have a cropped version or print the image in full if I am giving a bottle (or 2) away.

I’ve now also done labels for the minikegged brews. One of them is a cheeky one based on his job, and the other based on something he came out with after a few drinks a few years ago which still gets brought up.

Still the same theme, but in a transition to smaller cardboard, and no rubber bands (they dry out very quickly) but thin jute. Works as well.
