Wow, I'm liking this thread. There are some inspiring spaces. I'm storing ideas for our next place...

I'm not going to bore you all with a picture of my kitchen which is where I brew currently.

You went for a Johnson’s kit? How are you finding it in the commercial world?

You've a keen eye! The Johnsons kit used to belong to Tiny Rebel before us, to be honest it's quite nice and a massive improvement over the wood clad PBC kit (Dave Porter). Jumping from 25 litre to 2000 litre batches was nerve wracking but great fun.

I'm thoroughly enjoying myself and I've learned a great deal that I can take back to homebrewing. Just waiting to exchange contracts for our house so I can get my new homebrew setup going.

So what’s the brewery and What’s your involvement?

I’ve looked at and brewed on a few PBC kits and not being unkind, but they aren’t the best. The Johnsons/Malrex/Elite stainless equipment is a big step up in quality from the budget end.

Tenby brew company.

Been measuring up for my brew/pub shed space today. Got a massive garden but just can't decide where to put it. The place where I do want it is where there are sewage pipes running underground so may have to approach welsh water to ask permission to build on top

I understood the line to be “if it’s on your land it’s your problem” when it comes to sewage pipes and water supply pipes. So by all means check, but I don’t think they will care. Other than suggesting you don’t do it in case there is a problem.

Does this mean we get another brew shed build thread?

LEON - SHUT UP! - I'm only 6 miles from beer riff and haven't been yet. I feel soooo... guilty. please you're making it worse wink...

I want to cycle there and end up in a ditch on the cycle track back home somewhere between blackpill and dunvant :laugh8:

The pipes that service my property are my issue, but the ones where the shed should go service other properties and are therefore welsh water responsibilities. I have already had welsh water out to check the pipes so I know all the depths etc. The guy said don't build within 2 metres of them but on their website it said you can build on top with permission. Of course I would cover an inspection covers. It makes sense to have the shed there because I can tap into the pipe work for my sink and possible toilet. There is pipe work under ground from when a caravan was there during the house build.

Of course I would have to create a thread. Won't be happening anytime soon though

If the pipes service other properties are you allowed to tap into them? Wonder if you could cadge some water and electricity?
They are sewage pipes. Nothing worth cadging. Yes I can tap into them but they then become my responsibility just like the other pipes under my land

Here's the start of my setup as I move from kit brewing to all grain. This has to double as brewery, bar, shed and general rubbish house.
Needs power and water still as I ran out of dosh, but the winter plan is to fit it out with brewing hopefully starting by March. Trying out the Black Friday grainfather in the house was immediately vetoed....
