So cut a hole in the lid of my fermenting bucket inserted a rubber bung and found the hole ain't quite round...... Needless to say my last brew foamed over and found the hole!!!! I temp sealed it after a good scrub with hot melt glue as its non odoured. Thinking of a more permanent fix with silicon?? Any ideas?

Thankssss

Patch the hole with an over-sized piece of plastic using your hot glue and silicone sealant and drill another hole, if you can?

I drill a hole that is too small and use a soldering iron in a circular motion to get it to the right size. It creates a smooth edge which seals.

You can get food grade filler from tool station. I use it to make 10 litre bucket lids airtight.
