hi there hoping for some advice, sunday i brewed a dunkel, and for the first time i used liquid yeast 2206 which i started last week then split it and made a starter again buit today the smell is just like rotten eggs,is that normal or naff, any advice will be appreciated

Typical of Lager yeasts . . .They do clean up after themselves though

I've been noticing quite a lot of rotten egg smells since I've been brewing, usually it occurs after drinking my homebrew. Is this normal?

Never mind yer fancy bacteria yogurt to aid 'intestinal tract' :nono: a pint of homebrewed best each day and a couple or so at weekend is just as good for you :thumb:

and if you're really after some 'assistance', brew yourself some mild or stout and pour the lot out of the bottle, yeast reside and all, that'll sort you :drink: :thumb:

I'm doing a coopers European lager (according the Green Neck variation on their website). For the first week or so of the fermentation I noticed a very distinct rotten smell - it was everywhere though, not just in the room, actually outside the house as well.
Turns out I'd **** myself.
I've changed my under crackers and all is well now.
So don't assume it's your brew that smells, check your personal hygiene also.
