Rice Extract Substitution

Hi

I am having trouble sourcing this ingredient and am wondering if there is a suitable substitution for it.
The recipe is a clone Dos Equis special lager, extract version.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can make a Dos Equis clone without it.

Do you have a link to the recipe?

The recipe I was following was a gold medal winning one at the 1996 hombrewers beer comp. It was really straightforward. Done in under 2 hours.

I think it would be rice malt syrup which you can get in supermarkets or online easy enough but if its the same type or not no idea but its the same thing, ie LME is the same thing as barley malt syrup but its a more specific type you want for brewing.

Sainsbury do it £4.40 for 500g...part of their I quit sugar range...
