Ye, I finally found a supplier locally (Aberdeenshire).
For anyone looking in Aberdeenshire the Glassel Shell station, on the way to Torphins have food grade CO2. £65 deposit and £35 per fill for 9L cylinder. Deposit is refunded -£12 admin fee, but this is only if returning the cylinder and not when exchanging.
