Hi all

I've just started all grain/BIAB (after a number of extract and mini mashes etc) and all seems to be going to plan. Thus far my repertoire has been mainly hoppy pale ales. I'm going to order more ingredients for a hefeweizen, saison and gose. And with spring/summer on the horizon I fancied knocking out an easy drinking lager style beer for the hoi polloi. Problem is with a number of brews lined up (as above) I didn't want my fermentation chamber/fridge to be tied up for a vast number of weeks.
So question is, can I create a pseudo lager that I can brew using my chamber for just 2-3 weeks and then carb/condition (as I will be only bottling) at room temp and/or garage in spring temp?

Or is this just not possible?????

A millions thanks in advance for any responses...

Do yourself a favour and brew a Kölsch.
Simple grain bill, CML Kölsch yeast, and Bob's your uncle. Much more lager-like than California Common.

Much obliged the both of you.

I will do a kolsch. Something like :

85% Pilsner malt
15% Carapils

Hallertau & tettang

a suitable kolsch yeast

Ferment in fermentation chamber at around 15c for a couple of weeks.

Bottle and store in the dark in the garage for a month in English spring weather 0-15c (variable).

If this won't work someone let me know.
