Hello,
I have got two pressure barrels with beer ready for Christmas. Just one worry was whether I have got them in there too soon? Ie does it mature in there or go off (untouched) secondly the pressure barrels seem to lack that crisp taste that bottling gives. Is that normal? Can you improve the "crispness" by using beer finnings ? i have added some to these but never bothered before. One brew is young's Harvest bitter the other is Simply pale ale. Wondered if anyone else has this almost claggy taste from a pressure barrel? Both have tubes and floats going from the tap to the top of the beer.
All the best, Colin.
