We drive past there quite often on the way to see family in Scotland and I have often wondered why it was originally built (just an elevated cafe? Really??) & what it would be like to be in there. Many of you will have passed this famous landmark on the M6 how many have actually been to the top?
I remember going in when i was a kid but have never been to the top.
Nice. Took me a second.
I believe it was silver service when first opened and before it closed the truck drivers used it, they recently renewed one of the lifts which has 3 button on the panel leading to discussions it may be opened in the future.
Is that a Little Chef or is he just far away?
It's the child with no legs in the chair that concerns me!

Remember smashing your billhooks on the crossbar when going up hill and the gear change slipping into neutral.

I'm surprised we don't have daf style variomatic belt driven bike gears, especially on e-bikes where you could just adjust to your preferred pressure rather than spend hours twiddling the derailure adjustment screws to align with the click positions.Ahh, the good old Sturmey Archer three speed. Every shopping bike I think.
My first adult road bike had shifters on the downtube that you had to 'tune in' rather just click like you do now.
We've had bike gears you can shift just by thinking it since 2011, never got commercial.
Brainshift
Very collectible now.
