That was the only picture.

It's possible that there's a worm gear in the shaft at the attachment point of peddles to possibly turn something at the other end, can't think what that might be though, probably lots of parts missing?

I keep seeing a garden strimmer when I look at it but I don't think you could peddle that fast!

Someone suggested it was for practicing riding a unicycle.

Maybe an early exercise bike, sit on arm chair with the bung bit on the floor hold the handlebars and pedal.

Wouldn't it be easier to use a unicycle for that? This has no wheel, no seat and handles it wouldn't need
