I need to get a horrific taste from my mouth.

My stocks are running low so I thought I would break out one of my "lagers of the world" gift packs I got for Christmas.

It has 4 bottles of the ......ahem finest lagers consisting of Holsten pils, Tuborg green, San Miguel and the one I thought I should get rid of first...............there's no easy way of breaking this to you all so i'll come straight out with it, it was Carling.

The last time I tasted something this bad was when I dropped my tin of thinners on the workbench and it splashed in my face.

hahaha, someone obviously doesn't know their lagers to be calling those the lagers of the world, I'm surprised they didn't put a stubby of fosters in there as well  Enjoy (or not) :drink:

So lagers of the world that are all brewed in burton on trent

Funny how you raise this subject, my beer stash is in the garage and I couldn't be a***d to get some out, so dug some Carlsberg from the back of the fridge.

I should have gone to the garage...

Am I committing some kind of homebrewers sin by admitting I like San Miguel, not as much as my own beer but an ice cold bottle on s red hot day is fine by me

I really enjoy san miguel, very strong tasting beer. Needs to be ice cold to be enjoyed to the fullest. Carling I can drink if it's all that's on offer but Carlsberg is just absolutely disgusting to me.

I like san miguel and Stella but carling. . . . . . Erm nooooooo, it's so sweet and, well, disgusting just like fosters. :nono:

I'd rather drink water thank you very much!
Either of the first 2 ice cold on a hot sunny day/evening yes but the others, no.

I would drink Carslberg if I'm out somewhere I'm having a drink but don't want to get drunk.. it is tasteless but it allows my sobriety to go un-noticed amongst my 'drinking challenge, eating is cheating' type friends. It's easier that way. I hate being drunk and they seem to think I'm odd for not wanting to drink til I vomit.

 You had better hope PD doesn't see this

No but his faithful sheriff has.

The drinking of "lagers of the world" does indeed contravene The Shameful Drinks Act 2003.

I will investigate further. :hmm: :hmm:

Be afraid be very afraid Zedilly, the dust covers are being taken off the bench in court one as we speak. :hmm: :hmm:

It's still overpriced at that.

Is it not something like 2.5% ABV ? That ABV wouldn't be a problem with me if it was a delicious beer I had made myself cos that way I could drink more of it. ;-) but the fact it tastes **** and takes gallons to get pissed would suggest there's not any point in making it lol

Don't get me wrong though, it's still beer, well beer-ish but I'm an any port in a storm kinda guy, but if I could avoid it I would, I was a 20/20 kid ;-)

I never liked 20/20 i prefered a nice pint of Blastaway :drink: :drunk:

Ah Blastaway, castaway and dimomd white never drank it myself but plenty did when I worked in Scotland.
