I would like to see Andy Burnham given a chance i know some members don't like him but you will get that whoever gets the job (if Starmer goes)

I think he comes over well every time i see him and he uses social media (not in the same way Trump did) which will be popular with younger voters.

If it does happen please do not let it be Yvette Cooper she is my MP and nothing but a career politician put in a safe seat a complete waste as she is never/has been in the constituency too busy in London trying to further her career instead of serving the people who voted her in.

Ian Blackford is well worth a watch every time he stands up i bet Boris wishes he would stay in Scotland.

"Sleaze ridded party" :laugh8:

Strange Raynor is there if he goes she will go surely, she was with him

Do you think Scotland will get a vote on independence any time soon. It will have a massive effect here in Ireland if they are successful

Tricky one. WM insistent that they won't allow one, but that position can't hold given that the SNP win every election. I think that independence has become a more complicated proposition with Brexit, and where there is complexity people are less likely to vote for it.

I thought Brexit would of strengthen the independence vote. Saying that you only have to look at the problems Ireland is facing trying to implement the protocol. Scotland would face similar problems

That's the issue. I think people want it more due to being forced to leave the EU, but that's exactly what will happen. People will look at how tricky it has been to square the NI problem (despite it being a rather different issue) and just say, "no thanks".

A Scotland in the EU would necessarily involve conversations around trading over borders, free movement etc.

I believe Donald Trump has put a tender in for Hadrians wall to be made 10 foot tall 🤣 :tinhat::coat:

If you look where Rayner sit in the commons you would see that this must be just more Tory lies.
As deputy leader of the opposition she sits behind the big desk like thing with the mace on it and her legs would not be visible to the government benches.

Edit: the above is a comment on the original subject!

Lisa Nandy would get my vote. She seems sensible with her feet firmly on the ground.

From the BBC headline today:

“Time to draw a line under Partygate, Boris Johnson tells cabinet.”
The sheer gall of this clown! I swear to God you couldn’t make it up!
:hat:
