Hi all,
Newbie to brewing beer not drinking it. Just started out on my brewing journey with a mate and already brewed our first BIAB kit which will be ready to crack open this weekend. Not holding out much hope that we've produced anything that will resemble beer based upon the reading and research I've done since the first brew (should have done all that before brewing!), but as long as it wont kill us we'll consider that a success of sorts. Will be back to the drawing board for the next brew!

Hi scotty
I'm new also, just picked up a starter kit, bubbling away as I type. 😁
I have done a biab previously came out satisfactory but not on a par with others.
I picked up a young's home Brew all in one kit with an American IPA kit included.
Good luck, nice to meet another newcomer.
Cheers Jon

Thanks for the welcome chaps. Good to know I'm not the only novice around. Sounds like you've got your act together better than me Jon, if your brews have come out OK so far. I'm not holding out much hope for this weekend, but it's all part of the learning process.

Planning our second brew day on Sunday - a 'House Pale Ale'. I'm feeling a bit better with the process and controls I need to manage this time around so better chance of brewing something that will be palatable this time round.

Terry M, I'm actually between Derby and Stoke. Not a bad spot with plenty of decent nearby breweries and pubs to choose from.

Welcome. I'm a Derby lad in't Yorkshire. While I love all the Yorkshire ales I do miss a good pint of draught Bass (particularly from the Brunswick Inn) every now and then.
