Both those kits seem abit steep to me, I started with the Youngs brewbuddy which seems to come with everything that those kits come with but for around £22 from Wilkos. I've found that I need to use brewbelts as my flat has been so cold over winter, maybe I should have used the aquarium heater method but the brewbelts have worked fine for me.

The brewbuddy pack is just an FV, no barrels/bottle to put the beer in ! They have one with bottles, but thats £42 ish..

The Woodfordes kit has a pressure barrel and Co2 injector, which cost about £40 from Wilkos...

as a humble kit brewer might i say, welcome to the hbf and welcome to brewing. i think you will find it is an incredibly enjoyable and worthwhile hobby. beer is a great hobby :drink: .

you really wont need a brew belt in the warmer months to come.

ive been brewing all winter without a brew belt and although its been slow ive been producing enough beer to keep me and my mates going, although the last day of the 6nations put a major dent in the stocks.

enjoy brewing.

my 2 top tips
be clean
be patient

Thanks happyhofftaff!
I'm looking fwd to giving beer brewing a good try! If for nothing else than to have great barbeques in the summer and nice warm christmassy feelings in the winter!
Thanks for the advice everyone!
I have another question now which I will post soon back on the board!...But no rush - not my birthday 'til next week! Not felt this excited about a birthday for a good 20 years!
