Hello All, I've been reading all the advice so thanks for that. I've done a handful of kits so decided to splash out on a Muntons kit. Turns out my friend has recently done the same and got a stuck fermentation which seems to be a trend for these kits.

I started mine yesterday and there is no signs of life, the other kits Ive had started frothing very quickly, this one hasnt done a thing yet, its been just under 24hrs which I know isn't long but I'm thinking should I add some extra Wilcos yeast at this stage to both get it going reduce the cance of it getting stuck. The kit had 6g of yeast for a 2 can kit and many have said thats probably not enough.

Any advice welcomed!

to avoid it sticking I swapped the yeast out so i'd rehydrate a packet of wilkos yeast and gently pour in.

I ditched the kit yeast and used Safale US-05 when I made this. No problems with it. Can't quite remember my rationale for using an American yeast, guess I was trying to make it into a craft style beer.

It's about time Muntons realised that 6g is not enough yeast for these kits and ship them with a proper 10-11g sachet.

I used MJ's equivalent and it was very well regarded although the vanilla ice-cream overtones wasn't really my bag.
