Then came first mortgage.

I'd love another but 10 years ago lost two very close mates to bike crashes within a month.

I would love another bike but the volume of traffic, idiots on their phones and the rush everyone seems to be in these days is putting me off.

Chippy Tea, I know what you mean. Often times I consider giving it up for the sake of the family. I've been very lucky indeed to have escaped injury or worse during my 35 years on motorbikes, especially considering how reckless I was as a youth. When my son arrived 14 years ago I locked the bike away and didn't touch it for 2 years. But the lure was too strong. I'm very steady and defensive these days and always aware that death could be waiting around any corner. I can't give it up, I'd be miserable forever after. Sometimes the mood, weather, place etc combine to make a lifelong memory and one of those euphoric moments where one feels truly alive.

That is another reason i am a bit reluctant to buy another and Mrs Tea reminds me of it every time i bring the subject up.

Gunge I as you am very wary and more so every time I take the bike out. Then once you hit that nice bit of open road it's like Jekyll and Hyde and out pops the demon as he has been missing that adrenaline rush even if it only lasts for 5 seconds.
Chippy_Tea those widow makers rightly assumed their name but as with all the KH range their brakes were terrible and if it was wet well enough said.

I'm fairly new to riding, I passed my test in June 2013, on an ER6.

My first bike was Honda Hornet 600:

I had that a year than went to a Triumph America (Bad choice!):

I had that a year, and now I have a Triumph Street Triple, which is sooo much fun!

I have said I will never sell this, as it is so good. That was until the launch of the Triumph Bobber though...

I third the triple as it is such a well designed piece of artwork that drives as well.I would guarantee that this is a classic on its own.A true trumpet👍🏁

Yep, agree with the stunning.
Why do all modern bikes look ****??

I couldn't get this, though. Even if I can bend my old frame into my leathers, there's no room for Mrs H on the back! :-(
If I'm going to get another bike, and keep matrimonial harmony, then I guess a Kawasaki W800 is the only way to go :thumb:

Ah, but my first memories of a bike was as pillion on my Dad's in the late 1950s. Wish he'd kept it & I'd got it now!! Vincent Comet 500 no less. He later told me that there was a series of bends somewhere between Middlesborough (where he worked) and West Hartlepool (where we lived) that he could weave through at nearly 90mph. Once he'd got used to them, the road was dry, and nothing coming the other way. I was sworn to secrecy & Mam never knew!! :)

I started on an honda nsr 125 then a big jump to a gsxr 750 in my early 20s now i ride a harley sportster and i love it more than anything i have ever ridden.

I am sure I read there is an option for a full seat with the hump part you can put on to make it look like a single
