My wife and I can't stomach regular TV so we don't see much in the way of commercials. I watch sports on regular TV and have to hit the mute button during commercials because they're so stupid.
Non-stupid advertising (rare if not extinct) is fine by me.
BOGO is big here and has to be meaningless. Subtle trickery mixed with greed. With pizza, they cut the ingredients in half and shrink the size. Drives me crazy with ice cream too. Used to be a half gallon. Now it's 1.5 quarts and possibly 1.25 quarts here and there. There's only one brand that I know of, besides small companies, that puts only cream, sugar, eggs and chocolate into their ice cream. If there's more than four or five, I put it back.

I worked in a pizzeria for a number of years. A large pizza is 16" and not 14". Annoying when I see it.
