I have a sign on my computer desk at the side of the conservatory entrance...it reads...

WELCOME TO MY HOUSE...now **** off.

Thanks guys! Currently tucking into a bottle of Adnams Ghostly Pale Ale waiting for my curry to get delivered. Granted the 7 week old daughter is demanding my attention so no clubbing for me tonight!

Happy Birthday, Scott. Enjoy your curry, I'm waiting for mine to turn up after my bottling session.

Happy birthday Scott, just wait until your 7wk old is able to be daddy's little helper, that's what I intend with my 4yr old when I get going, she loves experiments so we'll turn it into a science afternoon.
Hope your heads alright for the night-time changes :drink:

I am 48, but dont feel old mentally, just physically. I watch football , go to the gym, go out with the lads (only real ale pubs tho ! ) Having kids at 8 and 4 and a wife ten years younger makes me stay young. I love the brewing tho and have mates who would like to do it but satisfy themselves with drinking mine instead. Addidas old school all the way for me!!
I think a lot of younger lads dont have enough hobbies to keep them active. (I sound like an old fart now!)

37 enjoy brewing tinkering in the garage or under the car, member of 4x4 response, like to enjoy an alcoholic drink at the weekend (sometimes wine sometimes beer). Have a 2 year old daughter she keeps me pretty busy too!

I am 30 and got into the brewing in the last couple of months as did two kits for my birthday BBQ in June and thought cheap beer and easy to do....
Use to be a lagar lout then started drinking with my old man and he showed me the error of my ways and started to get into real ale ...now onto wine aswell :drunk:

Also into shooting both rifle and shotguns and thinking about it my just about best mate is 52....

Hi im 47 and still go down the skate park every now and again with my bmx or tearing up the singletrack with my mtb!! (got to teach these whippersnappers a thing or two) (mind you they heal quicker than me,especially after breaking my ankle freerunning with my boy a couple of years ago)!! I would say your as old as the woman you feel (but she's older than me)!!

Another 37 here, ride and maintain old motorbikes, shave with a brush and vintage safety razor, listen to 6music and Vinyl and present a tech show on a local community radio station.

Also normally in bed by half ten most nights and every joint already creaks on a morning!

Car wise its a little mitsy Colt diesel as it goes well and does 50+ to the gallon.

I've always been an old bloke so no one was particularly surprised when I started brewing ales, but they are a little surprised by my attempts at hoppy craft beers...

+2 for listening to Radio 4, particularly the Shipping Forecast! I like the Folk and Roots programme on Radio 2 (still good now Mark Radcliffes taken over!) but I find the rest a little insipid and lacking in depth, although still better than most of the other radio stations out there!

only 20 days until I'm 33..... Proud to be a grumpy git!!

Im 38 and had an allotment at about 26.
I got called all sorts of old related things, then all of a sudden allotments became trendy again.
What a surise to all my mates, i was ahead of the game, the alllotment has now gone due to family comitments but i now brew instead, i am going on 40 so don't get the same abuse as i once did.

I have cooked, baked (not very successfully) grown my own and gone fishing from being young, but unlike my mates that ridiculed me about these things i have that other side to me.

I have and sometimes still do (finances allowing) wear trendy designer clothes, go out drinking and clubbing and can hold a conversation with prety much anyone, i can be as crazy as anyone else in the right situation but as said i have another side to me with all these hobbies unlike alot (most of) my mates.

So who is the one being ridiculed now! not me as i am multi dimentional person, not plain and predictable ;)

Interesting. .. im 27 and am a real fan of decent real ale. Originally from yorkshire but live in the south now and decent beer is hard to come by so had to make my own. My friends dont seem to mind.

Im 29. Enjoy brewing, slippers, radio 2, wildlife programs, quiet country pubs, playing snooker and I drive a diesel Vauxhall Vectra... Does that make me old?

In my late teens and early twenties I enjoyed loud music, gambling, double vodka redbull, loose women, hard drugs and staying out for days at a time. perhaps I burned out?

I second your theory :-)

hah, 20 and throughly loving being aged before my time, just need a flatcap and a beer gut (work in progress)

love pubs-despise nightclubs so still got full use of my hearing!

Pretty much the same here...perhaps a particularly hedonistic youth leads to a more relaxed lifestyle
