I'm 33. I like brewing, kayaking, cooking, I drink scotch, shave with a brush and safety razor and wear chelsea boots instead of my old skate shoes. And I listen to Radio 4

^^^Aint quite given up the skate shoes yet. still a true vans fan. Classic check slip ons all the way :thumb:

Poker, whisky, slippers and pottering...yes a fan of them all! I also used to drive a volvo. Oh, geocaching too, but I think that's got quite a wide participant range

Poker - no
Whisky- no
Slippers - yes
Pottering - only up till midday when my back eventually free's up
Volvo - noooooooooooooooooo
Geocaching - yes, but only after midday when my back has freed up to let me get out there and get at em.

34 here, i'm a grumpy old man in a young mans body ( think cross between victor meldrew and the old gits off harry enfield)

I might be 58 but I started brewing at 25. and still striving for that perfect pint.

I was young when I started. I was 26 when I started, and still going strong. Now 56 so it shows some hobbies do last. Now I'm into wine as SWMBO prefers wine to beer, so the house looks like a brewery cum winery. The next adventure is going to be sausages. Or will be after The Spring Thing. It's my burthday on the Sunday and SWMBO has promised to get me a mincing machine. And before you say it, no it's not a Ford Capri.

Youngest so far at 24 :D

I've been drinking real ale since I was 14 and my step dad used to bring bottles home from work, loved it. Now I love making it!

Me and my mates were drinking white lightning.....

Friday night out, 2ltrs of white lightning, 10 lambert and a packet of space raiders :drunk:

I'm nearly 33, been brewing since I was 18 and my other hobbies include model engineering, steam engines, driving my traction engine, sailing, bushcraft, folk music, growing veg and driving tractors. I have no problem with being a "little old man"

I have just turned 30 and most of my friends think I'm old before my time.

I home brew, love history and watch way to much time team.

If I smoked I would have a pipe too lol.

I complain to much and voice my opinion like a man twice my age :thumb:

lol!!! I have a pipe!! :thumb: Used to smoke it quite a bit as it kept the midges away when I was getting my boat out of the boat park :D

Im 25 and been brewing since I was 23.

I enjoy brewing, fishing, walking, the gym and watching movies.

I get told alot that I'm an old man in a young mans body! Lol

Well at least you found out you aint on your own!! I kinda like being the odd one out with my mates though :thumb:

I think the reason 'some' think it's an old mans hobby is because we make ale rather than **** water lager sold in pubs, which most youngsters appear to think is beer for some reason unknown to man nor beast.

I'm 19, started brewing last year, been drinking real ale since I could get my hands on it, walking, baking and scrabble I can agree with you on. Back at Uni I knew at least three other homebrewers of my age.

+1 for Radio 4, I do also like 2 and 6music. Can't stand Radio 1, especially the news, its very patronising

Always been a converse guy and they're still the only casual shoes/trainers I wear

I like how this thread has became a contest to find the youngest brewer...I wonder what the oldest would be? Also great to see other guys interests. I know so many people my age with no hobbies except going out drinking, watching/arguing about football and watching tv. Now there's nothing wrong with any of those things but there's a lot more to life

I'm 24. Love brewing, baking, Geocaching, foraging, riding motorbikes, mountain biking, pottering, scotch whisky, wysgi and spannering.

My (soon to be) latest hobby is going to be gardening. My friends also take the **** but I couldn't care less. I get to spend time with my fiancé and not blow ridiculous money on nights out that could be better spent elsewhere.

James

PS: I go to bed at 9 during the week and stay up to the dizzy hour of 11 on weekends because I'd rather having a productive weekend than waste it away with a hangover.
