Everyone at work slags me because they say I have the hobbies of an old man. They think its hilarious that a 27 year old's passions and past-times include golfing, brewing, walking, baking, playing backgammon and playing Scrabble. My best mate also happens to be 54 which they also think hilarious.

I have noticed that many of the brewers I've met or spoken to have been of slightly advanced years so was wondering if there were many younger guys out there brewing?

I'm 26 I golf play poker, dominos and enjoy lots off "old people's things" I even moan about the youth of today being lazy and rude.

Now where's my pipe and slippers?

theres me................................................

I lie.

Im 29 (30 this year) and like whisky, smoking cigars, brewing my own booze, pottering in my shed/workshop and wearing slippers. My mates all think Im more like a 50year old!!

Also i drive an old vw pick-up, and like shooting my air rifle and drinking too much (according to them anyway!!)

I've been called the crosskeys hillbilly now and a again...........

Poker, whisky, slippers and pottering...yes a fan of them all! I also used to drive a volvo. Oh, geocaching too, but I think that's got quite a wide participant range

I'm 28, love brewing, brewery tours, traditional pubs serving real ale, but also massively into road cycling to keep fit!

whats geocaching?? aint owned a volvo yet, mostly been pre 95 vw's for me. saying that I'm driving an E reg talbot motorhome at the mo, so, yeah, im an old bloke in a younger mans skin!!

darn....must get me some white gloves for bottling.....

Sorry C, can't help you, I'm like PID,
Do whatever you want, sound fine to me,.................not sure about the scabble though, can't you do crosswords instead, perhaps not.
S

34 here (if that still counts as young?) and very much enjoying brewing so far. Also a slipper wearer and buoy a good potter, occasional round of golf, proer pubs and wearing trousers round my waist rather than ar*e.

Im 25! I shave with a straight razor, like gardening, have had an allotment, bake and homebrewing is slowly taking over my life.

the ideals of us old farts are taking over........

You do what you enjoy...lifes too bloody short not to.

37. Brewing and cooking rock. Just getting into the growing part...

...old is the new young!!! Or something...

I'm 43 (44 in a few weeks  ) and am hopefully half way through a rather productive midlife crisis.

I brew, cook, bake bread, would love to grew all my own veg, would like to make cheese (next on the list), would love to make salami's and air dried ham, and give up work and live in a bothy on the west coast of scotland (not going to happen).

Do I feel old :hmm: :hmm:

Not when I talk to some of the old f*rts in Chat    (waiting for the abuse   )

But now i know how young most of you are...............

Yes I bloody well do

I'm 40. Been brewing since I was 34. I'm an avid runner, marathons and such. Play a lot of Xbox, PS3, and AirSoft with my kids too.

I brew because I enjoy the process and drinking the results. I don't really feel old. I think this is a hobby where age is truly irrelevant.

Geocaching is kind of like a high tech treasure hunt using gps. People hide stuff(caches) and u use gps(or these days phone) to find it. You then log your finds online. I guarantee no matter where you are right now there will be several within a mile of you, there are millions world wide. It's loads of fun, gets you out and about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4VFeYZTTYs
