Please add your favourite liquid yeasts here giving its number and name and what you brewed with it and most importantly what you thought of it ,

I'll start us off,

White Labs (WLP) 400 Belgian Wit Ale Hoegaarden/Celis

I brewed a Hoegaarden clone with this and it has been my best brew to date , it was very slow to start off and although reviews say around 4 to 6 weeks to ferment mine was done in around 2 weeks . I have since brewed the same recipe with a lesser yeast and the results are very lacking proving this is a great yeast with a slight spice and fruity taste to the beer brewed.

White Labs (WLP) 300 Hefeweizen Ale Weihenstephan 68

This is also an excellent strain and has a full flavour with heavy notes of banana (a little too heavy to be honest but still nice) I kept the recipe simple so as to get the full effect of the yeast and i would use this again although i will be trying wlp 380 that is meant to have more clove and less banana I brewed a standard wheat beer 60% wheat 40% belgian 2 row

White Labs (wlp) 550 Belgian Ale Yeast Ardennes

This 1 brewed like a rocket on fire it had to cope with a high OG and seemed to brew well but too early to drink as yet but first sample is very hopeful ,I brewed a Witkap Abbey ale clone with mainly belgian 2 row and candy sugar ,this will be edited at a later date

Wyeast 1272, I've brewed a few APA's with this. It drops out a lot better than US-05 and gives more a more characterful flavour while stilll letting the hops shine.

British: Wyeast London Ale III, low attenuation, finishes slightly sweet, flavourful, ideal for light summer brews

Weizen: Zymoferm 048 Franziskaner and Zymoferm 034 Ayinger, peach, bubblegum, pinch of banana but much less than Weihenstephan yeast (WLP300/Wyeast 3068), i don't know if it's available in UK

Lager: Wyeast Munich Lager, full body, malty

Belgian: Zymoferm 039 Belgische Klosterbiere/Wyeast Abbey II (Rochefort), not too estery, low phenolics, drops clear quickly, very attenuative, easy to handle
