Light dry malt extract

Hi guys, tesco has a 25% sale just now so was thinking of getting some light dry malt extarct but i was wondering how you use it ?. im sure it adds more flavour and aids in head retention but i dont know quantities or anything like that. any information on this would be great, cheers guys
