Am thinking of adding a few spoons of licorice powder to a stout kit (probabaly Wilko velvet stout as it's on sale).
Be interested to hear if anyone tried this, or has any advice.
Only posts i can find are generally connected to AG, and usually involve boiling up the licorice root.

Hi LF, yeah will keep you posted, gonna try dissolve the powder along with my sugar before i add to the wort.
What are you doing with the sticks ?, will they dissolve in a boil ?.....
 
I'm planning to get one/two to disolve. I put one in a bottle of vodka a couple years ago and that disolved nicely so hoping it will work in hot water.
