Normally the approach is to turn the keg upside down and spray cleaner up into it, letting the cleaner run back down and out the lid into the pump reservoir. This way only need 5 litres ish of cleaner.

If you wanted to go the other way I guess you could connect the pump ‘out’ to the gas in side of the keg and go back out through the liquid ‘out’ side back to the pump… but unlike the upside down method you’ll need to fill the keg with cleaner.

The bucket blaster combines "upside down" with connecting the pump outlet to both the liquid out posts.
