It was Harris in Gornal that I went to on Saturday. I did pick up a couple of things my local shop doesn't sell so not a totally pointless journey. He did offer some sensible advice without prompting (which I thought was a good sign). If/when my (very) LHBS disappears I'll be making the journey for frequently.

Gornal is a bit far for us sadly, we don't drive so would be stuck having to get a taxi there, which would cost a fortune from where we are. Shame that, as would be nice to talk brewing face to face with somebody with an actual interest in it, rather with somebody who's eyes glaze over after about 20 seconds... lol
Goodness, I'm in Grimsby getting the car sorted and popped into the HBS for some crown caps. Very sparsely stocked, which is very sad as it used to be great. Almost looks like it was closing down.
