The Brewferm glass carboy with wide mouth is your ideal fermentation vessel. The jar's wide opening makes it easy to reach inside the jar to add and remove ingredients or clean every inch of the inner surface. The glass surface does not scratch easily, so these jars are easy to sanitise and do not harbour bad odours or flavours. They can provide decades of great performance if you handle them with care.

The plastic lid creates an airtight seal on the jar and you can install an airlock in the opening area on the lid to release gasses during fermentation. The airlock and the gray rubber bung D32/26 are available separately (see accessories). Picking up the glass carboy is uncomplicated thanks to the nylon strap handles that are included.

Most glass carboys are American as we seem to prefer plastic FVs over here. Their standard brew length is 5 US Gallons which is just shy of 19L. Our Standard brewlength is 23L (or 6 US gallons). So youre unlikely to see a carboy in our standard brew length unless its an oversized American one

That’s a decent price - I prefer the untapped ones with the rubber bung but will be probably referring some of these at that price!

I have used the Crisp malts and they are very good. I also really like Ireks.

Crisp Clear Choice Pale/Extra Pale malt and Ireks Pilsner/Munich malt are pretty much all I use for base malts these days.

Hey, all our parcels are sent via parcelforce and we have worked very hard to get our daily volumes high enough to offer that cheap rate, we are based in NI and shipping into UK mainland isn't cheap, as far as i know its also the cheapest rate into the UK from any Irish online shops.
