Hello, brewing newbie here.

I've recently completed my first brew (coopers euro lager) which is now clearing in my cellar.
I'm looking to start brewing another type of lager. could anybody please recomend a good lager kit and also advise me on what i should be adding to it ie brewing sugar, spraymalt etc.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi!

I'd have to say go for the EDME German style lager. All EDME kits are very good, and this is one of the best of them.

Try using brewing sugar or a BKE + 25% of the stated volume. You could also use a light spray malt in place of the sugar.

To ensure active fermentation and enough nutrients, you may like to add a 1/2 teaspoon of Yeast-Vit.

Have fun.

I am quite enjoying the muntons connossier export pils at the moment. Have done about 4 of them so far. I have tried with both bke and light spray malt and think i prefer the bke, most people seem to advise staying away from sugar. have also found that saflager yeast is a winner compared to the kit yeast. for my current brew i have added a saaz hop tea and am fermenting at 12c in my spare fridge. . coopers australian lager also seems to be well recommended and i am trying that next but will also try lagering it for a month at 10c in my fridge before bottling. Addictive stuff this once you start brewing make sure you clear some space in the house

Thanks for the replys.
Ive gone for a coopers canadian blonde with 500g of light spray malt and 500g of brewing sugar.
im hoping it will be ok.
