Hi,
The CO2 valve is an 'optional' extra for these budget kegs. There are only needed if you drink it too quickly or if you have a leaky seal.
They cost around £8-10 plus the CO2.
The two mains types of valve are the pin type for the 'sparklet' type bulbs and S30 for the larger cylinders.

You may find that lager is not suitable in a keg as they are not designed for high pressure so be careful you don't split it which is another benefit of the CO2 caps, they have a pressure relief valve.

the keg has a vent cap which releases excess pressure above 14psi
All so how much sugar should i put in the keg?? all so do i just put the sugar straight in the keg or do i put the sugar in boiling water first then put in the keg thanks

I would say approx. 100g and it doesn't really make much difference if you dissolve it or not.
