Hello all, this is my first post acheers.

I am on only my second brew now.. the first was a wort in a can job which tasted.. OK.. but obviously not good enough to give me the brew bug as it that was about 4 years ago!!!
A few weeks ago I stumbled on my old brew bin and plastic keg in my shed and thought, "I must give it a go.. after all I do love beer and I like not paying ridiculous prices for things, so makes sense."

The wort in a can thing just didnt feel that involved to me - I enjoy cooking and I'm known to use every pot and pan in the kithcen when I do so.. So i took a next mini-step up and bought a London Pride Kit from https://www.brewuk.co.uk/fuller-london.html

The first ferment is done, I added a bit of honey towards the end (I heated it up to 70c in the sous vide for a good hour first with some water and let cool back to 21c before adding) which probably will make no difference but everyone like a bit of honey, right?!
I kegged it last night into a pressureised plastic barrel. I bought a new lid for it (here) that allows the addition of CO2.. which finally leads me to my question..!:

The beer fills the keg to about 2/3 so there is a lot of air in that keg. Should I give it a squirt of the CO2 now? I was really pleased with the outcome of my beer just form the primary, so really dont want to f*** it up now!

Thanks in advance for your wisdom :)

A bit of c02 won't harm it.if your using priming sugar in the keg that builds up co2 as well.I would advise you have a release valve in working order though as if the pressure gets a bit much the valve will release a we bit of gas.

Thanks, as far as I understand.. the valve I recently purchased that allows the inroduction of CO2 (via bulbs) allows pressure out as well. The link is in the OP of the lid in question.
