keeping the right temp

im thinking of fashioning a fish tank heater to the inside of my fv to keep my brew at the right temp....... has anyone done this before...... any tips would be appreciated..

Ill be buying an aquarium heater soon some say its best to suspend in a water bath that you stand your fv in. But ill be putting it in my beer direct through the grommit where the airlock goes :

The only problem there is you will need to remove the plug each time you want to seperate it from the lid.

I know it would be a pain could always use same lid though i suppose
