Prince's apple juice on offer in morrisons, 80p a litre - morrison's own blueberry juice £1 a litre. how could I resist? blueberry juice is a combination of flavouring
1L Blueberry Juice
4L (well, almost) Apple Juice
1tsp Tannin
1tsp Pectic Enzyme (pasteurized juice?)
1tsp Nutrient
5oz (140g) table top sweetener
Montrachet wine yeast
citric acid is already contained in the juice itself so I guess I don't need to add any. it's a rather brilliant shade of purple at the moment, I hope some of the colour stays in!
tabletop sweetener is non fermentable, so should just take the edge off and leave the cider around 1.002 and leave it semi-sweet (obviously not on the hydrometer, but in terms of sweetness.) it's also got maltodextrin in, which should enhance the mouthfeel a bit :thumb: I really used the bare minimum to take it from dry to semi, so I hope it doesn't come out too badly :
also I read on american sites that s-04 leaves a really nice fruity apple flavour and a little sourness, so I might try it with raspberry or something.
