Joined the CBA

Do I detect a hint of ageism creeping into this thread? I guess it is inevitable that this home brewing game will be weighted towards having a higher population of older practitioners; we're living longer! I will be looking into CBA membership as a means of networking with individuals young and old on the subject of brewing (that's why I've joined this forum)
My own situation sometimes feels like Charlton Heston did in 'I Am Legend' (Will Smith for the younger sprogs on the forum) where if it were not for the internet I would feel like I was the only home brewer left in the world - well Leicester anyway.
So I am looking forward to little bits of wisdom from anyone young, old or........yes...even female! :drink:

Hi bB, from my own personal point of view it has nothing to do with ageism, just factual point of view, based on members attending meetings :thumb: .......ps I'm 36

I went along to the NCBA meeting on Saturday - Vossy1 tells me it was not representative of normal meetings but it was quite uninspiring.

When I said

I wasn't being ageist, I was just stating that I don't feel that I would feel right being at a meet and being the only under 30 there!! (i'm 23 so at the lower end of the brewers spectrum!)

I have recived a Info pack through the post last week, and i am weighing up joining after i've been in hospital (and when I have some SSP!) :thumb:
