looks great mate. what did you use to cut all of the slits and what size pipe did you use. looking to jump to all grain brewing but looking at all the equipment i have got to buy its looking like it could be quite pricey. Any expense saved would be welcome lol

Hello mate, I used Dremel Cutting Discs to cut the slits in the manifold, the pipe used was 15mm.

Your tap looks very good, how did you assemble it?

Hello, the tap was put togeather more or less the same way as in the Youtube vid that Piddledribble posted.

Nice work Jay  Most shop bought manifolds are15mm. I would imagine due to the larger curvature 22mm would give slightly more hole surface area than 15mm but it won't be much.

Hi Vossy1, thanks very much.

Hi Guys, I have just finished my Wort Chiller I was surprised how easy bending the coils was in the end.

I'm just waiting for the camera to charge and I will post some pics later on :)

I also had some good luck and was given a 5.5FT high fridge free of charge and it works perfectly, perfect for a temperature controlled fermentation chamber/lagering chamber.

Hi Guys, as promised here are some pics of my Wort Chiller

Its not brilliant but it will do for now, I have had it running for about half an hour with no leaks :)

With hindsight I think that if I were to do it again I would not bother with the compression fitting and get a 10mm pipe bender.

The Postman also brought me this today

Again its not the best but it will do for now, I wont be mashing in it only heating water for Mash Tun, Sparging water and boiling the Wort.

Hi All, I did have my first All Grain brew planned for today, I was just heating up my strike water and I was called into work!!

The day was not completely wasted though because I managed to modify my Electrim Boiler, I removed the tap, thermostat and heating element and installed them all into an Essencia fermentation bucket.

The original Electrim bucket fits inside the Essencia bucket and there is a good 1 inch gap in-between them!!! It has given me a LOT more security from boil over. :thumb:

The Essencia feels alot more sturdier at boiling point aswell, so all in all I am rather pleased with the results. The Electrim remained standard for just about a day!!!
