Last week I bottled my bud lime. I was thinking of using the fridge as my "somewhere cool" for a fortnight. Is a fridge too cold or will it be fine?

Cheers

as long as its had enough time to carbonate the fridge is a great place for your brews , :D

Sounds good. Don't get me wrong, it'll be coming back out once I get back and then being stored up the loft for a bit, but it should definitely be carbonated enough (nice layer of sediment on the bottom).

I'll crack one open tonight just as a test :D

yes i would if i was you lol , btw avoid lofts tooo hot for beers it will shorten life span and may even effect flavour

I like the sound of this bud lime. Is it an AG brew or have you used a kit with added lime juice or something to that effect?

It's an extract brew, used lime zest, extra light DME and honey with cascade hops.

I might just have the guts to try this. Would be my first extract brew. I got tonnes of Kent Goldings maybe i could substitute those. Thanks for sharing. :thumb:

I started a thread on it, got loads of help from Pittsy with it.

Should be a big help if you decide to go for it :)

Added to the ole bookmarks bar for later reading. I will definitely go for this. The missus lives on limes so i have an infinite supply of zest.

We have carbonation....

Baring in mind that this beer has been in the bottle for only a week, and chilled in the fridge for only 2 hours, it is amazing. The Wife approves, it's light with a lovely aroma and a slight hint of lime (exactly what I was after). I can only see this getting better over the next month :D
