Clear tube from 80pint barrel shows crystal clear Woodfords Wherry... but comes out of expensive tap really frothy. Tried the simple adjustment but still frothy. Only get 1" beer in a pint glass which takes about 10 minutes to settle. Beautiful beer, proper tasty.... Any ideas before I look for another tap.

Which tap works best for you?

Thanks

From what I've read it may be more to do with your serving pressure and the diameter of the beer line you are using. I'm sure someone will be able to advise you on what's best.

Just a thought, but is there an attenuator, or something similar, missing from the tap?

The attenuator on my MK tap is a long thin length of plastic that fits inside the tube that sits directly under the tap.

The purpose of the attenuator is to let the pressure drop very slowly as the beer climbs up the tube to the tap itself.

If I remove the attenuator I get a pint exactly as you describe. i.e. 90% froth and 10% beer.
