Is my beer infected? Should I be concerned?

I've got a Munich Helles on the go at the moment. I had a look at it this morning and noticed something floating on top of the beer.
They're thin beige shapes. I'd say they look kind of like Coconut chips or potato peelings.
There is a slight banana-y smell. I've had a similar smell before which I think was caused by the beer being too warm.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case given that i'm trying to lager in midsummer.

How worried should I be by the floaties though? I've never had this in any of my other brews.
The fermentor was brand new and was cleaned and sanitised before use.
I suppose they could be crud from the side of the fermentor that have fallen in.

I can snap some pictures later if it does sound like an infection.
