Is it to hot to start a bit of country wine

Hi all still very new to all this , got the bits together finally for the first brew from the garden , given this bloody hot weather and hotter to come should I hold off for a week or just go for it ? , Most of the bits either are frozen or can be frozen but very limited on space and the good lady is moaning at me to get my crud out of the way lol

It depends what you want to make. if you can keep the temperatures down below 30C then red wine yeast will work fine. Remember that fermentation produces heat so you want an ambient of around 25-27 max.
 
Looking at pea pod wine as it intrigues me lol , might well und up as drain cleaner but be brave and ferment it lol ;)
I'vemade peapod wine decades ago. It's not drain cleaner, but it's not very exciting, either. I made some marrow wine last year and that's equally uninteresting. I'm thinking of putting something in it to make it worth drinking, Some elderflowers or rose petals or even parsley.

Was going to chuck some orange and lemon peel plus sultanas in this is the recipe I'm considering
2.2kg fresh, empty pea-pods
1.2kg granulated sugar
250g sultanas ( de oiled and chopped )
Juices and peel from 1 lemon and 1 orange.
Was thinking about some dried rosehips as well or maybe a bit of rhubarb ?
1 cup fresh, strong black tea
Pectolase to reduce haze


1 package wine yeast not sure which yet got a few to choose from in stock

That's more like it. Especially with the rosehips/
