Any ever do a kit by following instructions and turn out good any kit I get or have done never go by the manufacturer's directions why do they bother

I soon found out that the makers instructions were a shortened version of how long it should take to make the kit so as to catch people to believe they could make drinkable beer in 10 days. As most of us know it should be fermented for at least 14 days to allow full attenuation and time for the yeast to clean up any yeasty taste smells and then conditioned for preferably another 2 weeks also. These misleading instructions is why so many try and then stop making homebrew.

It's a shame really.
Mr. B buys his first kit and makes it per instructions and drinks the result after 10 days. Thinks it is horrible but may just be him, so gives his 4 mates a sample. They also say it is horrible and go back to drinking cheap lager.
Now that has put off 5 people who will never try homebrew again, and number of kits sold is 1.

Mr. A buys his first kit and he is lucky. The instructions say that to make good beer takes about 6 weeks. He makes it, and after patiently waiting tries the result - and is impressed. So impressed he asks his 4 mates to try it and they are impressed too. 2 Of his mates wants to try it themselves and Mr A wants to have another go.
Number of kits sold = 4, and likely to rise exponentially with time.

So can u just go ahead with 1.5 liquid malt can and hops to make a 20 litre brew no need for bag of dextrose??

Eehhh you could but the beer would be like 2% Alc and very thin. Watery. I've tried shortening these kits to half but the result was very bitter because the kits are prehopped to 20liters. When I want a quick batch I use a lager can, q bag of better brew (a mix of sugar and DME) and chuck in some hops during boil. I boil the better brew without the kit. I also dryhopp when I feel like it. Made some pretty good beers this way.
