Inkbird STC 1000 NTC Sensor extension

Hi all,

Ive just wired up a few inkbird STC 1000 and the temp probes are woefully short for my needs.

To buy longer ones will leave me waiting for a china delivery time or paying more than the actual bloody STC cost in the first place.

I have a load of copper speaker cables knocking around my loft. Does anyone know if using this as an extension is a decent permanent solution?

That's what I have done. If I remember rightly you can check and recalibrate the STC after but mine didn't need it.
This was on a home built STC box, not an Inkbird

Extending is fine. You wouldn't even an ohms resistance.
As an example, The difference between 24 and 25 degrees is 395 ohms
