Well, its time to say farewell for a couple of months. I'm off to do a little stint in a far away desert land for Queen & Country to help the less fortunate.

May all your brews go well and have a few beers for me over the next couple of weeks as I won't be able to.

Might get the odd chance to come on and post but if not take it easy and

You stay classy HomeBrew Forum.

All the best Bobo, just raised my glass to you :thumb: :drink:

Your choice, my friend it's a professional career, as Elvis once said. Be good and come back safely.

Bon chance.

Best of British Bobo and we'll sort out that brewday when you get back. :drink:

well made it here ok, still hot, still dusty. Internet access is quite good so I should be able to get on and post quite frequently.

A friend of mine worked in the Gulf and reckoned the homebrew kits were labelled "cornflower". Have you found them yet :?: :)

Imagine what that would be like if it was cornflour. YUK! LOL

yay for me, :thumb:

But also a big thumbs up to the fellas that went out last night,

for those that haven't seen the news at all today, the army went out last night on ops and have managed to kill around 100 taliban insurgents. Well done lads.

All in all its been quite quiet here on Kandahar airfield. We had a few rockets come over towards the end on Ramadan, no one seriously injured and its been quiet ever since.

The weather is going through its random faze at the moment, its around 35 degrees and very dusty during the day, but getting to around 10 degrees at night. another few weeks and it will probably be around freezing over night. Good job I brought my thermal undies

Work has been really quiet, only had to change one engine and do a load of out of phase servicings (all due to being in desert conditions) Tedious work but it makes the time pass quicker. (for those who are interested in what I work on http://www.lockheedmartin.co.uk/products/c130j.html check this out)

Been here just over 3 weeks now and got another 5 to do. Missing my misses but get to speak to her a couple of times a week. Got some decent photos so will post a couple up when I get home and get a quicker internet connection.

Take it easy everyone and good brewing.

Bobo

I hope you took the bottle opener with you or Mrs Bobo may have dealt with them!

Nope, thankfully she doesn't like lager, plus i left her with 6 bottles of wine, made a youngs chardonay kit last minute before i came out, supposed to be approx 11% but for some reason ended up at about 12, must have fermented it too long.
